AMG is the luxury high-performance division of Mercedes Benz. AMG was originally an independent brand designing high performance elements for Mercedes back in the 80’s. Daimler-Benz started to buy shares of the company starting with the 90’s, and in 2005, it was announced that the AMG brand was fully in the control of Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles are more aggressive, more powerful, and the most expensive cars of the Mercedes brand. AMG first designed improvements for the R107 model. Today, the AMG models are made under the concept of “one man, one engine”, which means that any AMG car is manufactured by a team leaded by a single engineer. According to the company, there are only 50 high class engineers at AMG, and this is why the waiting list for a Mercedes-Benz AMG is impressive.
